Simple is a neighborhood eco market and refillery in Cole Valley that offers a full range of zero-waste items, including a large selection of refillable products for the home and body, with a focus on local goods and local makers.  Every item has been carefully vetted to ensure that it is in line with our mission and supports a closed loop economic model to the greatest extent possible.  We want to make it as convenient to choose sustainable and refillable products as is it to buy mainstream, polluting products from far-off places.  We also want to be a place for community, education, and exploration, where people can gather, share ideas, and create.

Monday: 11am-6pm

Saturday: 11am-5pm

Sunday: 11am-5pm

*We will be closed Sunday, March 31 for Easter.

    • Hair – shampoo + conditioner

    • Face – cleansers, serums, oils, moisturizers

    • Body – lotion, body oil, sunscreen

    • Bath – body wash, epsom salt

  • Household Items

    • Laundry - liquid + powder laundry soap, stain remover, oxygen brightener

    • Dishes – dish soap, dishwasher powder, rinse aid

    • Hand Soap – several scents (including Dr. Bronner’s)

    • Cleaners – all-purpose cleaner , window, cleaner, cleaning vinegar

Simple’s mission is to serve the community and, ultimately, the planet, by offering alternative ways of being and doing that consider our decisions and the entirety of their impact. 

Simple strives to facilitate fundamental change by directly addressing how we consume - eliminating waste in the form of single-use plastics; consciously choosing items that are safe for the environment, our bodies, and our homes; and supporting businesses and makers who hold strong ethical values.

We aim to do good in a climate of optimism, believing that meaningful action is most sustainable when it is centered around connection, beauty, hope, and, of course, simplicity.
